Greenwood Global is excited to announce that nearly 200 “GREEN” jobs will be coming to the City of Atlanta, GA. The immediate jobs will be part of the materials recover and manufacturing facility located at 2100 Forrest Park Road.
Greenwood Global will launch its new comprehensive recycling program that include manufacturing GREEN building materials along with a host of green technologies aiming at protecting the environment. Starting immediately, the company plans to hire 45 call center representatives, 100 sales representatives and 20 upper management positions, along with drivers, warehouse, and energy auditors to contact local Atlanta residence and businesses to inform them about recycling options.

Greenwood Global Inc., an Alabama-based Corporation in partnership with Atlanta based APD Solutions, a Community Development Firm, to bring nearly two hundred ‘’GREEN’’ jobs to the City of Atlanta. In an effort to spur job growth and the growing demand for new construction technologies Greenwood Global will introduce Earth Friendly Building Material based out of Tempe, AZ as the first manufacturing of true green building materials in the south. EFBM has been around for more than twenty years and has constructed more than 10,000 homes and commercial buildings. In addition, EFBM ships its products around the United States and its products are sold retail through the 1,800 Lowes stores nationwide. As part of EFBM’s expansion, the company plans to build three new manufacturing plants within the next 90 days to be located in Georgia, Alabama and Tennessee.
According to Greenwood Global President Warren Crawley “GREEN jobs means more recyclable materials will not end up in the landfills. Saving valuable landfill space while creating green building materials from the recyclable products.” In addition Greenwood Global trucks will be fueled from recycled cooking oil from Atlanta’s homes and businesses, said Crawley.
“We have evidence showing that many resident are pouring their spent oil down their kitchen sinks and drains. This is proving to cost local governments millions of dollars in sewer repairs and often time, EPA fines as the oil turns to a solid and clogs pipes or enters our water stream.”
Qualified applicants will begin work immediately after a successful interview and training. Greenwood Global will began interviewing applicants at the Tucker office located at 1399 Montreal Rd. Tucker Ga. 30084.
Training will be provided for those seeking call centers and sales positions and workers can expect to earn $10 an hour plus commission, with opportunities to earn in upwards of six figures. Drivers and warehouse positions starting pay is $15 per hour.
Vaughn D. Irons, CEO of APD Solutions adds, “We expect to increase the percentage of jobs in Atlanta with the expansion of its glass and plastic manufacturing plant later this year. Atlanta will no longer be known as a red or blue state but a GREEN state for its growing sustainability efforts.”
